Activate your licence

Three steps, about thirty seconds.

Your licence key is in your receipt email. It is not shown on the checkout page after you pay. If the email has not arrived, check spam, then see lost your key below.

Activate

  1. Open Chrome and click the Bugpacker icon in the toolbar.
  2. Click Settings at the bottom of the panel.
  3. Paste your key into Licence and click Activate.

The card should change to Licensed and show which device you are on. Export is unlocked from that moment.

Not installed yet?

If you bought before installing, get it from the Chrome Web Store first, then follow the three steps above.

Three devices

One licence covers three machines. Activate on each the same way, using the same key. To move a licence off a machine you no longer use, open Settings there and click Deactivate this device, which frees the seat immediately.

Lost your key

Your key lives in your Lemon Squeezy account, alongside your order. Sign in with the email address you bought with:

app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders

Lemon Squeezy handles the payment and sends a sign-in link to that address. We do not hold your key and cannot look it up for you.

If activation does not work

What you see What it usually means
Could not reach Lemon Squeezy Activation is the one thing that needs the internet. Everything else in Bugpacker works offline. Check your connection, or a corporate proxy blocking api.lemonsqueezy.com, and try again.
That licence key could not be activated Usually a partial paste. Copy the whole key including the dashes. If it still fails, your three device seats may all be in use; deactivate one from the machine you no longer need.
Licensed, then locked again later Bugpacker rechecks the licence about once a day and tolerates fourteen days offline. Past that it locks export until it can check again. Connect and click Check now in Settings.

What a licence changes

Only the export. Recording, reviewing, annotating and redaction are free forever and work with no licence and no account. A licence unlocks downloading the finished package, and packages you have already downloaded are yours regardless of whether the licence is still current.
